The weld test consists of a section of 8"pipe(1/2" wall thickness) with a beveled end, welded to a section of 8" pipe(5/8" to 3/4" wall thickness) with a square cut end. A restriction plate is clamped at a 45 degree angle an inch away(at the tightest point) from the weld. We have a drawing of what the test looks like. Be prepared to set up your own two sections of pipe on the weld stand. They will bolt the restriction plate on for you.
